Established in 1893, the Barnum Museum preserves and interprets the Bridgeport area's industrial history. It lies in West Bridgeport, a few blocks north of Bridgeport University. Founded by circus legend P.T. Barnum, the museum boasts a core exhibit detailing his life and times through peculiar artifacts, including a souvenir piece from Tom Thumb's 1863 wedding.
